Let it snow!

Today was a very slow going day. Madison and I got up at about 7am (thats late if you can believe it), and didnt get out of our jammies until 10! Madison was spoiled all week by getting to wear her jammies all week at daycare, so she thought she should get to do that today.

When we got up this morning it was snowing... a lot! But we were brave and headed out into the winter elements for her first trip to the library. I think that she was in awe about how many book were in one place, and that she could find a quiet place and sit and look at them. We ended up taking four of them home with us.

After the library it was off to Target to pick up some things for grandma. I think that I have been very luck with being able to take Madison places and having her not throw fits or have a melt down in the middle of the toy isle. That may have happened once, but thats it. She is suck a well behaved little girl for 3! After Target we went home and hunkered down for the day.

Last weekend was full of fun. We went to visit a friend of mine in Uptown. Madison had never been to her house before, and I think that last time that Crysta saw Madison was for her 3rd birthday. Madison has such a blast watching movies, exploring the apartment, chasing the cats, and making cookies. SHe keeps asking when we will be going back.

On sunday, Madison had her Christmas program at church. Her class was set to be little angles. Each Sunday school class had different costumes. As we were walking down to the stage, Madison spotted Papa and Gram, and THATS where she wanted to be. I think that she lasted 4 minutes and she was sitting with them.
This week I also finished up my 3rd quarter at Rasmussen. I am sooo happy that I am done with the 2 classes that I had (English Comp and Anatomy). But I am looking forward to next quarter. I will be taking 3 classes for spring: Accounting1, typing, and medical office procedures. I decided to take 3 classes because the I think that I will be able to handle them well, they dont seem to hard.
Well, I hope the holiday season blesses everyones family.

Whats been going on.....

I dont think that I have looked more forward to a weekend than I am with this one! The last few weekends have been VERY busy running here and there, trying to get this and that done. This weekend we only have 1 thing planed, and that is going to the Macy's Holiday display. We have never been to it before, so I am really looking forward to it. We also have Bailey coming over to spend the night this weekend too. Madison is very excited to spend some time with him.
School is going alright. I cant wait to be done with Anatomy! This class is going to be the death of me I swear! Although I have 4 weeks of the qtr left, I am longing for the 2 weeks that I will have off between qtrs.
Madison is doing great! Last Saturday we went to get her pictures taken for Christmas, they turned out really cute. Her cousin Porter came with and got his pictures taken as well, and then they had a few taken together. I get to pick them up tomorrow during lunch, and am so excited. As soon as they are put on the JCPenny site, I will copy them and put some up.
Madison has also become very accustom on how to work papa's computer. She can sit on one of her sites (noggin) for a long time before she get to bored with it. 2 nights ago, I had to peel her away from it. Its so cute to see her use the mouse and click to what she wants to see.
Thanksgiving should be real fun this year. Almost everyone will be here. Derek is possibly coming down, Ryan, Kaite and the kids will be over too. The only 2 that will be missing is Katie Miller (dang Target!) and Porter : (
Well thats about all thats been happening! Just wanted to get those of you who check this caught up.

Another great weekend!

Wow! The last two weekends have just been jam-packed with fun!
This weekend Madison and I met up with Cheri and her family for some trick-or-treating in Anoka. It started at the Cub Foods in Anoka and went along the strip mall, and at the end Madison got to pick out a free pumpkin! After Trick-or-treating we stopped for some lunch, and then went to the Anoka Halloween parade. I think that Madison may have been a little scared, but she made it through.
Sunday we went to Sunday school, and after our nap the kids came over for some cake to celebrate my birthday! When they left Madison and I (mostly I) carved our pumpkin. I think it was the best one I have ever done! It turned out really cute.
Although Madison was in a mood almost all weekend, it ended up really fun and exhausting at the same time.

Trying it out

Well, besides Myspace I havent really "blogged" before. So I am going to give this a shot and see how it works out.
Last weekend was so busy for Madison and I, that she didnt get a nap in either day. Saturday we went to the circus with Cristina and Britney. It was Madisons first circus, and she LOVED it! I think the thing that she liked to watch the most was the elephants. She had the oppertunity to ride one, but decided to pass because they we TOOOO BIGGG! She sat great through the whole 3 hour performance, and fell asleep on the way home.
On Sunday, Gram helped me teach Sunday School (which was a big help), then after we went to get pumpkins, and went to the Como ZooBoo with some friends from church, Kinsey and Breagha.
We ended up going to 2 different patches. The first one we went to, most of their pumpkins had green on them! I also thought that it was "pick your own". But they told me that they get delivered. I always liked the "pick your own" ones anyway, so we just rode the hayride and left. The second one that we went to is the same one that we have gone to for the past 3 years! I like it a lot (although their prices have gone up)! Berry Hill Farms is the name of it. They have animals, pumpkins, treats, hayrides, and a corn maze. All of their pumpkins this year were HUGE! There didnt seem to be a small one in the whole field! We should have just went to this one in the beginning, but I wanted to try something different.
When we got home, Madison took a rest on the couch for about an hour and then we started to get ready to ZooBoo. We had never gone to this before, so we were really looking forward to it. When we got to the park and ride there were school buses to take us to the zoo. Madison has always wanted to ride in a bus just like the girls at daycare, but when she found out that we got to ride in one... she changed her mind. She told me "I am not riding that bus!"
When it was time to board the bus though, she was just fine (as long as both my arms were around her).
ZooBoo was really fun. They didnt just hand out candy, they had all sorts of different things for the kids. Some of the zoo workers were dressed up and waving at the kids. It was just a really fun experience over all. Madison had asked if we get to go back... so thats a plus too.

This weekend wont be as busy for us. Tomorrow I am going to play bingo with some friends for my birthday, Saturday Anoka is having their parade so we are going to that, and Sunday we are going to carve out pumpkin! This weekend we will surely have time for naps and more!
